You are employed as an Operations Manager in a medium-sized manufacturing company. The company has been in operation for the past few years but the company is still facing some major problems. As the new Operations Manager, you are required to put forward a proposal to the Managing Director on how to overcome the major problems and to improve the overall productivity. Your report should draw on relevant strategies / theories and show a good understanding of operations management and business growth.
Critically evaluate the role of five performance objectives of operations management (quality, speed, dependability, flexibility and cost) to describe the operations strategy, Product and Service design, Process Design, Planning and control, Innovation and improvement, Supply Chain and Quality management of the particular organisation.

Critically analyse the integration of an Information System to determine Organizational Boundaries: Vertical Integration and Outsourcing, Designing and Managing Operating Networks and Creating a competitive advantage through New Process Development for the particular organisation

Consider relevant emerging technologies in the chosen industry and describe how the use of them will create effective and efficient Job design which will help the organisation to develop a motivational approach in the employees and will help to contribute towards the satisfaction of performance objectives.
