Order Details;

This assignment is part curatorial, part analytical. First, visit the Smithsonian collection of images:

Your first task is to construct an “exhibit” of sorts. You must find three photographs that work together (and individually, of course) to reveal a narrative. By narrative, I don’t mean just a story, I mean a story that exposes something about humanity, about an understanding of ourselves.

After describing your curatorial choices (why these photographs? What is their narrative?) your paper will explore how these three photographs illustrate how photography has changed us. Use the readings from throughout this unit.

In addition to the criteria used to evaluate the other AP assignment, I will also be considering how thoughtful and effective your curatorial choices were, so be sure not to just group together the first three images you find.
