INDIRECT GUIDANCE PLAN
Using information from lecture, in class discussion, observations and professional articles, you will develop a preschool plan (3 and 4 year olds) which includes:
Write an analysis explaining how your Indirect Guidance Plan supports prosocial
behavior and limits conflicts.
Points will be given for the following:
Daily schedule: 0-20 points
Children will be able to:
Have plenty of time for sustained play
Routines (signing in, mealtimes, safety plans, centers, rest time, etc.): 0-20 points
Is predictable and familiar
Allows children to do things on their own
Promotes safety and security
Floor Plan: 0-20 points
Includes adaptations for exceptionalities
Minimizes the probability of conflict
Includes a safe space for emergencies
Analysis: 0-30 points
Includes thoughts on how schedules, routines and floor plans support prosocial behavior.
Analyzes the role of the classroom environment in limiting conflicts.
Editing: 0-10 points
Plan is typed and edited for spelling and grammatical errors
THE DAILY SCHUDULE HAS TO INCLUDE WHAT A FULL DAY CONSISTS OF AT A LEARNING CENTER FROM 7AM TO 6 PM..ARRIVAL TO DEPARTURE.ROUTINES WITH ACTIVITIES, TIME AND DURATION FOR EACH.THERE ALSO HAS TO BE AN EMERGENCY PREP PLAN.EXAMPLE; BATHROOMS:CAN BE USE IN CASE OF HURRICANE, BACK DOOR: ECSAPE EXIT,LOCKS AND RAMPS:LOCK FROM INSIDE FOR SAFETYAND SO ON.ADAPTATIONS FOR EXCEPITIONAL CHILDREN (EQUIPMENT THAT IS USESFUL FOR THEM TO BE INCLUDED. ALL THESE THINGS NEED TO BE DESCRIBED. THE FLOOR PLAN IS A COPY HOW I WOULD SET UP MY CLASSROOM AND THE CENTERS IN IT AND WHAT IT LOOKS. Please include an area for circle time.
