Each student will decide on a company or product (good, service, or idea) that will be the basis of the individual Marketing Plan to be submitted in Week 5. Submit an overview or introduction to your company or product as a post in your Week 1 blog. Instructor and students can comment on the posts.
Your subject can be real or fictitious. It can be a fictitious product for an actual company. It can be an enterprise you currently operate or plan to start.
One recommendation: do NOT attempt a plan for a huge company like Apple or Starbucks. Their marketing needs exceed the scope of this course. HOWEVER, it is a great idea to do a plan on a real or fictitious product from a big company (e.g., a new beverage by Starbucks). This way, your plan will be focused but you can still have the experience of marketing for a big brand.
