Inequality in America

The debate on American inequality has elicited mixed reaction among different parties. Income equality remains a cause of disagreement among the American, with some sections of scholars, arguing that indeed, there is existence of inequality with the middle class and high-income earners benefiting from the opportunities in the countries at the expense of the poor or low-income earners. Those against the notion level their arguments on the aspect of a democracy and free society. According to Andrew and Joseph, a free society provides opportunity for everybody to develop and grow (1). In a free society, opportunities and chances are presented to every person in equal measure as individuals have sole decision to make decisions and engage in transactions as they so wish hence America inequality is justified.
