An Argumentative Outlook into the Universal Moral Values
As a toddler develops, some bitter truth unfolds with time. The child is forced to conform to some commonly unwritten principles, which need to be adhered to. Unfortunately, there is no conclusive explanation given regarding most of these principles and guidelines, which people are supposed to conform to. Many people are left in a dilemma not knowing what way to go. There is no distinction between good and bad due to the diverse cultures, which propose different terms. Gradually, they leave a lot of people in disarray. Some end up questioning whether there is something tangible or physical about these universal measures of moral standards. The existence of universal moral standards is a question that continues to spark divergent arguments across the world from various scholars and philosophers as well. The biggest question that remains unanswered is regards the existence of the universal moral standards. I take Mackie’s side, to stand against any universal moral standards that have an ontological background.
